Michael Harder, CEO
Michael Harder, a 30+ year veteran of the fast food and quick-casual food industry, is a co-founder and CEO of a quick-casual restaurant chain known as Zydeco. Mike comes to this venture with a Masters of Business Administration from Notre Dame. He has worked in large corporate franchises, and has developed mid-size corporate concepts and small private start-up restaurant concepts. Mike has extensive experience in both domestic and international environments, as well as in high growth and established environments. Mike has held various operations positions, including Operations Manager, Corporate Department of Leadership Development, and Director of Operations for International Development. During his tenure with a prior national chain, he was responsible for opening 46 restaurants In 4 cities in 3 years. He is experienced in all phases of the business, including RE, construction, accounting, operations, training, HR and business development, and in fact has developed the operating, RE, and construction methodologies to be used in his current company.
Donald Carr, President
Donald Carr is the President of EB3 Consulting, Inc. Don came to the venture with a Law Degree from the University of Iowa. During the early part of his career, he was counsel for various business interests, including many small business owners. Don has previously assisted in the start-up of a business that grew to 400 employees with revenues in excess of $80 million a year. For over 12 years, Don served as a Senior Business Analyst and Director of Client Relations for two different consulting companies, providing advice and consulting assistance to hundreds of small businesses and start-up companies during that time. He is the co-author of The Entrepreneur’s Guide, a comprehensive qualitative study of entrepreneur and entrepreneurial behavior, and other entrepreneurial articles. Don’s experience includes assisting companies in their growth and development, including acquisitions, mergers, venture capital, funding, and franchising, as well as the implementation of financial and organizational infrastructure.
Daniel Oberle, Director of Education
Daniel Oberle is Education Director at EB3 Consulting and co-author of “An Entrepreneur’s Guide”. He is a seasoned management counselor, entrepreneur and educator with a unique focus on behavioral management and small business research. With a humanities degree in Biology and emphasis in Psychology, Mr. Oberle began his business career in Fortune 500 environmental and specialty chemical fields. After building successful basic research and sales/service teams for commercial market development of new technologies, he expanded his training and coaching focus, pursued graduate education, and became an Adjunct Professor at Webster University’s Graduate School of Business and Technology. Extensive direct consulting with hundreds of small businesses, spanning 13 years, has provided the basis for his qualitative research on the behavioral constraints and leverage points prevalent in entrepreneurial excellence or failure.
Bob Bates, CFO
Bob Bates is the Chief Financial Officer. Bob graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a BS in Business Administration and Accounting. Bob brings a variety of small business and large corporate finance experience to EB3. He began his career as a CPA with Ernst & Young before spending 15 years working with international markets for RJR Nabisco, his last position being VP Finance, Asia Pacific in Hong Kong. Since returning to the US, Bob has developed his own CPA firm with a focus on small and medium sized businesses. In addition, he had held numerous interim CFO and controller positions in small to medium sized businesses, mostly in turn around environments.
Bob Myers, Advisory Board Member, Senior Business Consultant
Bob Myers is Senior Business Consultant for EB3 Consulting, Inc. Bob holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Prior to EB3 Bob spent 1½ years as Executive Business Analyst. Bob has spent over 11 years as Vice President – General Manager of both plastics and industrial manufacturing businesses and over 15 years as Vice President-Sales & Marketing of industrial manufacturing businesses. He has spent over 1½ years in dental lab environments focusing on profit enhancement through budgeting controls, lab process improvement, improved customer retention and improvement in the sales & marketing model.
